Access to this site has been provided by The Christmas Light Show for the benefit of its users. It allows users and guests to connect to information resources around the world. Every member has a responsibility to maintain and enhance the public image, and to use the website in a productive manner. To ensure that all members are responsible, productive website users, and are protecting the organization’s public image, the following guidelines have been established for using the website.
ACCEPTABLE USES OF OUR WEBSITE
Members accessing the website are representing the organization. All communications should be for professional reasons. Members are responsible for seeing that the Website is used in an effective, ethical, and lawful manner. Our website blog and file share are meant to be used to share Christmas display and light show related info and files. If a blog post or file upload is deemed inappropriate, it will be deleted, and the member is warned. We will impose a 2 strikes rule and band the member.
UNACCEPTABLE USE OF THE WEBSITE
Our website should not be used for personal gain or advancement of individual views. Solicitation of any business, or any use of the website for personal gain is strictly prohibited. The use of our website must not disrupt the operation of the website for other users.
Each member is responsible for the content of all text, audio or images that they place send over the Website. Fraudulent, harassing or obscene messages are prohibited. All messages communicated on our website should have your name attached. No messages will be transmitted under an assumed name. Users may not attempt to obscure the origin of any message. Information published on our website should not violate or infringe upon the rights of others. No abusive, profane or offensive language is transmitted through the system.
To prevent computer viruses from being transmitted through the system there will be no unauthorized downloading of any software. All software downloads will be done through the MIS department.
Copyrighted materials belonging to entities other than this website may not be transmitted by members on our website without credit to the original owner or creator. Failure to observe copyright or license agreements may result in a 2 strikes rule and band the member.
All messages created, sent or retrieved over our website are the property of The Christmas Light Show, and should be considered public information. The CSL reserves the right to access and monitor all messages and files on the computer system as deemed necessary and appropriate. All communications including text and images can be disclosed to law enforcement or other third parties without prior consent of the sender or the receiver.
HARASSMENT AND VIOLATIONS
Harassment of any kind is prohibited. No messages with derogatory or inflammatory remarks about an individual or group’s race, religion, national origin, physical attributes, or sexual preference will be transmitted. Violations of any guidelines listed above may result in an immediate ban.
